Campervan Hire for everyone

Driving Poppy back to London this morning and she has developed a series case of Horn Tourettes...

 

Every time she hits a bump in the road, or goes past another car "PARP PARP" comes out of her.  It's starting to get embarrassing now and she seems to want to draw attention to herself...

Luckily enough it is a fairly easy problem to fix as the indicator cowl has just moved slightly causing the problem but I think she is going to be attention seeking now she is looking so lovely agan...


 

She is here, being displayed as part of the Volkswagen Type 2 Owners Club, and doesn't she look pretty in the sun?

 

We fitted her new curtains last night and her rear cushions before setting off for the show.

 

 

Lets hope she gets lots of admirers as she has so missed being adored.

Great excitement...

 

A full day before set up commences at Volksworld 2016, Poppy is finally ready for collection,

 

First things first I need to take her of SORN and Tax her then lets hope it is a lovely evening.
 

With Trepidation I head up towards West 1 to pay the last of her money over, collect the keys and driver her for the first time since ... well since she was last driven in Sunny Wales 5 plus years ago...

 

What is she going to be like? Will it have been worth the wait? I really hope so.

 

Viadas and Joseph let me know that she has a 'borowed' engine in for the moment (until the new one is ready to fit) and that there are a couple of small finishing off jobs to do but she is ready to hit the road.

 

 

Poppy is almost ready, the paint is on, the interior is in and she is just getting her final adjustments by the mechanical team at Jacks Garage.
 

Phew, not a moment too soon, with volksworld just a few days away she should be ready... but I am not going to count my chickens before they hatch as that would be madness in the world of rebuilds, sadly it's not like CAR SOS where it all happens in three weeks flat.

Poppy is moving along nicely in the paint shop now, her roof and windows have been done and the lower colour, Chianti Red is being applied.
 

After all this time it is good to see her almost back to her original colours as she rolled out of the factory in 1972.
